Index of Mental Skills

The Index of Mental Skills is designed to provide insights in terms of how you concentrate and approach situations. Everyones has different predispositions and patterns of concentrating and dealing with situations as they present themselves. The aim is to identify your predispositions, strengths, and areas that may be productively fine tuned. This can be best achieved if you respond to the statements candidly and honestly.

The following inventory will ask you to consider statements and respond in terms of the frequency with which they apply to you.

You should then click on one box only for each response out of the options:

  • Never
  • Rarely
  • Sometimes
  • Frequently
  • Always

Example:

“I am able to eliminate a skill error from my mind immediately and refocus”

Based on the frequency with which you are able to do this, place an X in the appropriate box, for example “sometimes”

Please do not examine your whole career when deciding upon a response. Your natural instincts are usually the most accurate.
